CIPD is organized into two research laboratories. Laboratory 1 focuses on research into individual and relational processes of development, health, and well-being across the lifespan. Laboratory 2 is dedicated to research on educational, social, and institutional contexts of inclusion, participation, and social transformation.

This organization reinforces the complementarity between the two laboratories. It also provides scope for the future growth of research in both areas by integrating well-being and neuropsychology as cross-cutting thematic lines across both laboratories.
